In 2018, Karhu developed the Ortix Fit technology, which is what really gives the shoes that near-custom fit as soon as you put them on. This makes up the midsole and upper volumes, using data directly collected from other 2 million runners' feet. Ortix technology started on the Ikoni model, and is now available across all models, including the HiVo wide-foot and female designed HerFit iterations.
