Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, everyone needs to register again before the runs resume in September.

Sign up at your local Up & Running, fill out the form with the help of one of our team members and then you will be issued with your SRG card. You’ll need to bring this card with you each week so you can scan in and out easily.

It is free to run with SRG!

SRG is not affiliated, so if you are entering a race you cannot benefit from a discounted race entry. Members of affiliated clubs pay an annual membership and therefore they do not pay for insurance for their race entry which is part of their club membership.

SRG runs are not timed. There will always be a run leader and a back runner. The group sets off together, and waits at certain points to regroup. Faster runners are encouraged to loop back and re-join the back of the group. The emphasis is on a social run and we seek to make everyone feel included.

With the aim of making SRG as fun and inclusive as possible, children over the age of 12 can run with us at the weekly meets.

Children aged 12-14 must run with an accompanied parent;

14 - 17 year olds can run on their own as long as they have signed up with their parent and have parental consent.

We're afraid under 12s cannot run with SRG.

Every child running needs to be registered and carry their own unique bar code.

Of course! Anyone can join and run with SRG, but please just make sure any new runners register prior to the run and have an SRG barcode.

You can, but we do aim to keep this to a minimum so if you can avoid bringing personal belongings, please do so. The shop will be locked while the run is taking place, but we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to your property.

The core SRG event is always 5k.

Once registered, you can visit any SRG group and run with them. You will still need to have your barcode scanned before the run at the group you are visiting.

See the map above for a list of run and run times.

Pop in to your local Up & Running and have a word with the team, they will be happy to talk to you about the group and reassure you.
