The digital dial can be scrolled/rotated to move the screen selection up and down, and pressed to confirm a selection or pause/end an activity. It can also be used to scroll and zoom in and out on map screens. The back/lap button gives you access to various features such as find my phone, alarm, stopwatch, settings, and more! Press to record a lap or rest during your workouts, or to return to the previous screen.
