How is it collected?
Some information is collected when you register to run for SRG. The rest of the information is collected when you interact with us on social media or when you sign up to our newsletter.
Why do we need it?
We need it to either, register you as a runner, send you SRG updates or marketing information.
If you have opted in to receive SRG updates, you may be notified of any SRG events or changes to terms and conditions.
If you have opted in to receive our marketing, you will receive news of sales, latest releases, and special offers. We may from time to time send you news of items that we think you would really like to hear about. You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails at any time by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
The information these providers receive is the minimum needed to perform their role and it can only be used for the purpose that we have specified. They must keep your data secure in accordance with the current data protection legislation and should we end our agreement with them, then any data that they hold will be either deleted or made anonymous.
You can be assured that any data that is collected is done so for legal and legitimate reasons and done with your consent. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Keeping your data safe:
Through modern data encryption and firewalls as well as strict internal security measures we can keep your data safe. In order to do so, we may at times need to verify your identity. We will keep your data as long as you keep running with SRG. If you have a break from SRG we will keep your data for 12 months. If you don’t run again with SRG within 12 months your data will be deleted.

We also transfer your personal data to the above or other third parties if we are obliged to do so according to legislation or to protect our interests in legal disputes.
In the event of a local outbreak of the Coronavirus, the names and email addresses of SRG runners may be provided to the NHS to support Test and Trace work. NHS Test and Trace will ask for these records only where it is necessary, either because someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 has listed Up and Running as a place they have visited recently, or because our premises have been identified as the location of a potential outbreak of Covid-19.
We do not transfer your personal data to a third-party country outside of the EU.
