PRIVACY POLICY
The information that you provide will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller for this information is Up and Running UK Limited who are registered as a ‘Data Controller’ with the Information Commissioner’s Office, Registration Number ZA914943.
What information do we need?
The data we need to complete your registration is:
- Name
How is it collected?
Some information is collected when you register to run for SRG. The rest of the information is collected when you interact with us on social media or when you sign up to our newsletter.
Why do we need it?
We need it to either, register you as a runner, send you SRG updates or marketing information.
If you have opted in to receive SRG updates, you may be notified of any SRG events or changes to terms and conditions.
If you have opted in to receive our marketing, you will receive news of sales, latest releases, and special offers. We may from time to time send you news of items that we think you would really like to hear about. You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails at any time by contacting srg@upandrunning.co.uk.
The information these providers receive is the minimum needed to perform their role and it can only be used for the purpose that we have specified. They must keep your data secure in accordance with the current data protection legislation and should we end our agreement with them, then any data that they hold will be either deleted or made anonymous.
You can be assured that any data that is collected is done so for legal and legitimate reasons and done with your consent. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Keeping your data safe:
Through modern data encryption and firewalls as well as strict internal security measures we can keep your data safe. In order to do so, we may at times need to verify your identity. We will keep your data as long as you keep running with SRG. If you have a break from SRG we will keep your data for 12 months. If you don’t run again with SRG within 12 months your data will be deleted.
Where your data may be stored and processed:
We do not rent or sell your data with other individuals or organisations. However, we may transfer your data to third parties when it is necessary in order to provide you with our service. Third parties shall mean:
- Undertakings of Up and Running UK Limited
- Security-cleared data processors/sub-contractors, who are assisting us with IT or other services
We also transfer your personal data to the above or other third parties if we are obliged to do so according to legislation or to protect our interests in legal disputes.
In the event of a local outbreak of the Coronavirus, the names and email addresses of SRG runners may be provided to the NHS to support Test and Trace work. NHS Test and Trace will ask for these records only where it is necessary, either because someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 has listed Up and Running as a place they have visited recently, or because our premises have been identified as the location of a potential outbreak of Covid-19.
We do not transfer your personal data to a third-party country outside of the EU.

Privacy of children on our website:
Our website is not intended for use of children under the age of 18. We will not knowingly collect data from any SRG member below the age of 18, except their name for registration purposes. When a person under the age of 18 signs up to run with SRG, only their name is collected. Any further contact details are their parent and/or guardian’s. No data is collected from a child under the age of 18 without their parent and/or guardian's consent.
KEEPING UP TO DATE:
Should we need to update our practices in order to remain compliant with current legislation, we will do so, and a notice will be posted on our website.
Data collection is a necessary part of providing the SRG run, and it is important to us that you know we are doing everything we need to keep your data safe and you do have rights as to how we use your information. You have the right to:
- Know how and why we collect your data as well as how we use it. This is explained in full in the privacy policy.
- Know what information we hold on you. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you by email.
- Ensure the data we hold is accurate and up to date by requesting any information is rectified or updated if necessary. You can rectify your information through your account or you can contact our customer services.
- Change your marketing preferences at any time.
- Ask us to erase, block or restrict the personal information we hold about you or object to ways in which we are using your personal information.
