New Balance clothing review - Kit that just works!
What's it like to wear New Balance clothing? It can always be tough picking up apparel online, not sure about the sizing or how it might feel, well staff member Dougie took some of the latest New Balance Impact collection out for a spin and gave us his thoughts.
What’s the fit like?
I found the clothing fit true to size, I picked up a medium in both the top and bottoms and the fit was perfect. For context; I’m roughly 5ft11” and slim build.
The New Balance Impact tee is cut to an athletic fit which really allows it to move with your body, as for the shorts, I had the 5” variation (which personally I prefer) but there is a 7” for those who like a longer length.
Your thoughts?
It’s a performance tee through and through so wherever your workout takes you, the Impact Tee will deliver. Wearing it as a single layer on a mild day I found the tee to be airy and I wasn’t left lugging a sweat drenched tee around after the first mile, no doubt thanks to the NB DRYx technology wicking the moisture from the body.
As for the New Balance Impact Shorts they held up (literally and figuratively) really well. There wasn’t any restriction in movement at all and I had no areas of irritation, which can be a rare occurrence for running shorts.
What is unique about these products?
The biggest talking point it without a doubt both items and many more in the New Balance range here at Up & Running meet the New Balance Green Leaf Standard. In apparel this means that at least 50% of the materials have been sourced from a sustainable and environmentally preferred source.
Where would you use these products?
Honestly, I think both the New Balance Impact tee and Impact shorts are super versatile and could be worn pretty much anywhere. Gym, running, hiking, cross fit or even as an athleisure piece, you name it, and the kit can stand up to the test.
Final points.
All-in-all I thought the kit was refreshingly simple and effective. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just not often that you can find some running kit that you can put on and it fits perfectly. Nothing to distract you, nothing to irritate you, just slide it on and off you go!
