Mizuno Wave Rider 26: Is it #ForEveryRun?
Billed as a shoe that is #forevery run, this is certainly a lofty ambition. If it’s good for everything, it does beg the question: Is it anything special?
I can assure you, from the outset, this shoe does not disappoint. With a middle of the road price tag, the Wave Rider 26 is streets away from being a middle of the road shoe.
This latest version has seen its biggest updates for some time. The upper has been crafted to be smoother and softer. It is created from a one-piece Jacquard mesh which means there is no stitching at the forefoot, so no irritation or friction. The Jacquard fabric gives it superior stretch and flexibility and it is highly breathable. Just step into the Wave Rider 26 and you’ll be desperate to get out on your run.
Mizuno has taken the winning elements from the previous version and made them better. The full length Enerzy foam and the Bio PEBAX wave plate will give neutral runners the ride of their life.By sticking with the most successful and proven elements of the Wave Rider 25 and improving an already awesome shoe, Mizuno has created the premium and sustainable Wave Rider 26. The weight of the shoe is similar to its predecessor, but with extra Enerzy foam under the wave plate, you are definitely getting more bang for your buck!
Sustainability is at the heart of all Mizuno products, which is great news for the consumer and the planet. Created from completely vegan products the sustainable Bio PEBAX wave plate is constructed for neutral runners from castor oil for an eco-friendlier footprint.
Cutting through all the tech-speak, this latest version will give you: supreme comfort; the knowledge that you are running in a shoe that has been sustainably created; has great breathability and a smooth soft fit with a stretchy, irritation-free gusset.
You might think this shoe could just be for your recovery runs, but with its effortless ride, you’ll be matching your segment pbs (and setting new ones) if that’s your ambition, so it truly is For Every Run.
