Welcome to Up & Running at East Sheen!
Our staff members are experts in their sporting disciplines and can provide the best advice for your individual requirements:
Nick comes from a background in free running and gymnastics. He hopes to compete in the 'Red Bull Art of Motion' competition next year and can often be seen practising handstands in store! He has recently come to enjoy running and cycling, and hopes to compete in triathlon and sportif events in the future.
Harry has worked on and off at Up & Running for 4 years and is a student at Edinburgh University. Having never been on a run before working at the shop, Harry has now completed two marathons and can often be seen stretching his legs in Richmond Park, which is situated round the corner from the shop.
Running shoes with the right cushioning and support for you will make training and racing easier.
Take the guesswork out of buying your next pair - a few minutes on the treadmill and the help of our
knowledgable staff is all it takes. (Please bring along your current running shoes for comparison.)

Asics Gel Nimbus 11
"Every cloud has a silver lining", or "The Nimbus returns to form" ...
With a reputation for leading the way in style and technology, sports heavyweight Asics may have tried too hard with last year's Gel-Nimbus 10. Packed with new innovations in an attempt to set it apart in the neutral cushioned market, many people felt they had gone a step too far.
This year sees the release of the Nimbus 11, which Asics hail as a return to form. Ditching its unpopular asymetric toe-box that many felt affected their gait, and the complicated stitching which rubbed more than previous models, Asics' new step forward is in fact a much-needed step back.
Stylistically the Nimbus 11 has a sleek and simple design, casting the previous model's futuristic looks into the past. Comfortable, lighter, and still the most cushioned neutral shoe on the market, the Nimbus 11 can once again justify its three figure price tag.
